The Story Behind USA 250

There are a lot of great songs about America. Most of them are slow ballads or old-school marching band numbers. They're beautiful, but they're not the song I wanted to hear blasting out of a truck on the Fourth of July.

I wanted something with USA toughness. A patriotic rock anthem that's upbeat enough to make you turn it up, with a chorus the whole stadium can sing back. Something that fills a gap in the genre.

A song you sing back. Not just one you listen to.

The timing is the timing. America turns 250 in 2026. The FIFA World Cup is in the United States. There's never been a better moment to make some noise about this country. USA 250 is my answer to that moment.

Living in a free country is a privilege I don't take for granted. There's a sense of security and pride that comes with it, and I wanted to put that into three and a half minutes of rock music.
